A New Teacher Sees Both Worlds

Image

Bridget is a new teacher at Erindale College in the ACT.

Like other teachers she cares deeply about education and development.

She’s just started in education and is in a unique position. Some of her teaching is in a Big Picture program and some of her teaching is in a regular class. She is, she says, ‘seeing both worlds’.

She loves her Big Picture advisory because she can relate ‘one to one’ with the students. She loves the fact that the students tend to be more focussed because they tend to ‘be more into what they are doing’.

Bridget has come to teaching later than others. She is an associate with Teach for Australia and she thinks that is an advantage for her Big Picture work. She’ll tell you why.
