Join us for the Big National Conference 2018 in Sydney's Inner West.
The 3-Day 2018 Big Picture Conference will be held in Marrickville, the heart of Sydney's emerging creative, maker, craft and bespoke food culture.
This year the combined Town Hall sessions will focus on current, wide-ranging themes vitally connected to Big Picture learning and practice including:
- Portfolio entry to university and other higher-education pathways
- Outlearning and the power of connecting to community enterprise hubs to nurture the talent and innovation of our young people
- Research on student learning in Big Picture learning contexts
- Engaging and re-engaging young people in learning
Over the 3 days attendees will break out into small advisory groups to share stories, success and good practice.
There will be special interest workshops and visits to local enterprises and maker spaces.

Attending the Big Picture’s conference will contribute 15 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing 6.3.2 and 7..4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
Note: This applies only to post - 2004 teachers. Pre-1 October 2004 teachers will be able to claim PD hours towards accreditation as of 1 January 2018.
