Wiradjuri/Welsh woman Cara Shipp, one of our BPL School Coaches, travelled to the Ngaanyatjarra Lands School in remote Western Australia to participate in the annual Big Picture Camp in 2025. Cara reflects on the power of On-Country learning and of involving community elders in the learning, and outlines how the Big Picture Learning Design can contribute to 'preparing students for a good life on the Lands'. The article also shares learnings that could be applicable for other schools working with First Nations communities.
