You’ll have a chance to encounter first hand the concepts and processes of one the great innovations in education – Big Picture, One Student At A Time.

Big Picture Education Australia has launched a set of classroom posters about key Big Picture concepts.
The posters are designed to help you to enthuse mentors, parents and prospective students about Big Picture.

One BPEA founder and school consultant, John Hogan, recently visited the US with a small group of teachers on a leadership development tour and has some valuable tips to share about the process of arranging student internships.

Many of you know that I suggest ‘slowing down’ the internship process by following the steps set out in our LTI summary booklet.
Getting an internship isn’t a case of ‘cold calling’ and requesting someone to be a mentor. It is part of a deeper structure that is crucial to the student’s development and learning within the Big Picture model.

You may like to consider "The Oasis Youth Homeless Film and Photo Competition" being run by one of BPEA's philanthropic supporters - the Caledonia Foundation.
Filmmaking provides a great opportunity for student's to further develop their creativity, storytelling, project management, team building, and technical skills - not to mention that this project will make a difference to awareness of Youth Homelessness.
