Calling For Big Conference Ideas

The 2012 Big Picture Annual Conference is in Canberra from October 24th, 25th and 26th (new dates).

We seek your big ideas to make it a great conference in which educators and students from around Australia and overseas can come together to learn deeply and share wisdom.

There will be a range of presentations and workshops over the three days.

They will be led by educators, young people and community members. Big Picture Education is focussed in engaging families, communities and mentors in education. The conference will be too.

Big Themes

A good conference revolves around great learning opportunities.

Here are some of the themes we plan to explore:

  • Big Picture and the national curriculum

  • Building powerful project teams

  • Building a ‘researchful’ school

  • And more tinkering

Active Workshops

We plan to have hands-on workshops including:

  • Building your advisory culture

  • Accreditation

Make a Suggestion

What do you think: Is there something you think needs to be explored? Now is the time to put your idea forward. Ask your students, what do they want to see, do and learn?

Please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or email with good ideas.

Great Venue

Finally, we have secured a great venue: Big, bright and looking over water.
