Big Picture Inspired School Membership
A school can join the Big Picture Network as an Inspired School.
There are many schools in Australia that have already become Big Picture Inspired Schools. (click here for more information).
These schools learn from the experience of Big Picture Learning in the USA.
For many schools the current curriculum, assessment, pedagogy and structures are working against learning and teaching and quality relationships between school, their young people and their communities.
That’s where The Big Picture ideas come in.
These schools are not in a position to start over from the ground in a fully accredited Big Picture School but wish to work Big Picture ideas into their existing arrangements.
BPEA supports the schools to make school change.
Big Picture Inspired mediium and large high schools invest $25,000 + gst over 3 years.
Big Picture Inspired primary schools and small high schools invest $15,000 + gst over 3 years.
We realise that if we are serious about this whole school approach we will at least need to work along side a school for the length of the work with the young people.
BPEA has designed an accreditation program for the work and is happy to talk with your school. Join The Big Picture Network as an individual or organisation and then the accreditation program will be negotiated on a school by school basis.
The elements of the program includes:
- Member of BP Australia for 3 years (and exempt from any price rises in
that time) - Access to all resource guides and new materials as they become available.
- 20% discount for BP events (30% if ANSN school too)
- Priority access to BP projects and International visits etc
- From 2009 participate in national conference for BPI network schools
- Online connection to other BPI Aus Network Schools
- BPE 1 day School Consultancy Initial Visit by CEO and BP School Consultant
- Other school visits by Director of BPE when in locality.
- Medium and large high schools get 12 days BP School Consultancy Visits including travel costs, preperation and followup
- Primary and small high schools get 6 days BP School Consultancy Visits including travel costs, preparation and followup
- Access to significant discounted accredited Big Picture Coaches for additional support and work
